Yes, we were returning on the morning of 9/11 and our plane was diverted to Memphis, TN for 4 days.

Bago, Myanmar (December 2001)- A common site especially in rural areas.  The monks beg for food every morning.  Whatever is received is their food for the entire day.

The Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar.  Yes, those roofs are gold.  The grounds at this shrine are truly unbelievable.  And the number of shrines in the country is astonishing!  See our Burma online album.
