The Central Coast Secondary Science

Professional Learning Community

 

 

The goal of this community is:

 Òto organize the work of qualified teachers so they can collaborate with their colleagues in developing strong learning communities that will sustain them as they become more accomplished teachersÓ (NCTAF, 2003)

 

The program is sponsored by the California Science Project Teacher Retention Initiative (TRI) and it is part of a National Research Study.  The Central Coast Institution of Higher Education is the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.

Monday June 25 dinner (4-8 pm) and June 26 Literacy for our students (8-3 pm)

This is a follow-up project on your own time.  We use the Lesson Study model and requires the application of content workshop in the classroom with a ateam of teachers.  Twelve hours need to be finished by December and the rest in May.
